55g Hi-tech. Should I cap ADA aqua soil?

Just getting into the hobby and want to start a hi-tech tank. I have about a 1/2 " of eco complete i'm gonna cover with the three big bags of amazonia. Should I cap it with something? If so what should I use.

I can see the benefits of a cap, just wanted to get some good feedback.

it depends on what you're going to plant.  if you are going to have a carpeting plant then you will need to cap the area you want the carpet.  usually this is done with your choice of sand or flourite.  if you're keeping with ADA then ADA power sand is good.
