what substrate should i use for my 75 gallon

i have a 75 and i have no clue what to use as a substrate and im on a budget but i would like to have a heavily planted tank

ummm dirt. organic miracle grow potting soil 1 1/2 inch layer. 50 pound bag at home deopt sells for 8-10 bucks. next get sand also at home depot like 5-7 bucks for 50 pounds. they also sell gravel of different sizes.

i wouldent dirt a 75 gal. too messy. id use 3 inches of sand/peagravel mix

eww good idea michel. but wen dirting a 75 u dont dirt the whole thing you plan out where you are  going to put plants and only dirt that area. its part of planning a tank that big out.
