Name of this variety of Rainbow ???

Hello .......   I bought six rainbows yesterday from my LPS but can't remember the type ?????   I know they are "Rainbows"  but if some one knows the exact type/name  , please help ????    thanks !!!!!

Cleaning question

is it bad that i have to do a light cleaning every week? like water change, scrape some algae off the glass? is that like normal or can you do better?

airstone in planted tank

I have a 10 gallon dirted planted tank with small tetras, is it bad to have the air stone in the tank because of the loss of co2?

Australian Rainbowfish Aquarium Question

Before I go adding anything in this tank I need to know something. I was under the impression that I need to have a bottom environment to help clean up fallen food not eaten by the rainbowfish. I thought that a few bottom dwellers would help keep the tank cleaner and thought maybe a pair of kribensis would be a good idea. Is this the case? 

So I guess my main question is this? Should there be a bottom environment for a rainbowfish tank?

Angelfish For Sale?

Hey i just found out that i have a new batch of angelfish fry. I was wounding if anyone would like to buy them and have me ship them to you once they are big enough. For the last 3 batches i have only had one die which was in the last one. I have traded them all into my lfs but was wondering if any of you guys would like some. I am not in it for the money but would like to cover at least half of the shipping cost.

When "free shipping" isn't a good deal :(

Ordered 2 anubias online (ebay) and waited 3 weeks for them.   Free shipping for limited time.  UGH.

Came in a flat envelope, no special markings, left in my mailbox (it's 25 degrees F here) under a heavy pile of other mail.

They were flattened and cold damaged,  got them into tank water ASAP and cut out the obvious damaged parts, but alas they did not make it.  By today even the roots and rhizomes that were left were soft and mushy, no saving those.   Lesson…
