Hey everyone, so I recently have returned to the hobby by setting up a ten gallon dirted tank (eco complete as the cap). Its been about two weeks and the water doesn't seem to be improving. I've done about three 80% water changes. There are no fish yet of course for I'm trying to cycle it. How long do you think it will take for the 'tea coloring' to disappear? I'd prefer crystal clear water! Thanks
Can't really say how long it will take to clear up using the method you described. Try running some activated carbon in your filter for a few days. Pop into chat and talk to us--u will get more advice there. Welcome to the site!
Could take a few months, just keep changing the carbon every week, or do water changes, or just live with it. It'll eventually stop and when it does you can use carbon to clear up any residual tannins.
