Hey Dustin, I was wondering what you think about putting some lucky bamboo in the back of a HOB filter? Heard it would be beneficial but was wondering your opinion on it if you get a chance, Thanks!

yes. the pond is about 100 gallons...estimated.  in the summer the water temp can reach 100 degrees. the 96 gallon sump basically double the water volume, and acts as a crude heat exchanger.  there is a diy sponge filter in the pond attached to a 225 gph power head.  the 1/2" pvc runs into the bottom of the sump and rises up , cools, then spills back into 2 return lines. i tossed some bio balls in the sump.  after 2 weeks the water has gone from thick green to crystal clear. and the temp is always cool .
