Alright guys, so afer doing a little bit of research, and now having about a years worth of experience dealing with everything fish, I finally wanna do my real tank. I've decided I want a 50G(36X18X19). Will be buying some eco-complete, along with organic miracle grow(used it before, so it's safe), and some plain sand and gravel.

I'm looking for kind of an "overgrown" look with my tank, but I'm not positive what plants I should get. What plants will give me that look? What kind of lighting should I get with my plants? Been thinking about going LED, but also been thinking about doing a T5 with a timer on it. I will have DIY CO2. So ferts/high lighting will not be a factor, but I don't want to melt my plants, or such.

2 HOB filters, nothing fancy, I really prefer letting the plants work that stuff out.
