Paul, again welcome to FTTV. Everything looks good, you're on track. You've got heater, filter, co2, drop checker, and even a UV sterilizer. Looks like some type of plant-grow-substrate. Plants look good, especially the mixed cryptocorynes. You've got the right idea in trying to hide the equipment (whats up with the blue on the heater, right?).

When you tie down riccia, keep it trimmed regularly, if you let it get too bushy it starts to float away and tear off from the mail colonies.

Thanks for the comment! Yeah my heater is blue :( it was one I had on a past tank and I am saving up to get a better one that "blends in" my wife thinks I've spent enough on the tank (she doesnt understand the passion for it yet haha) already so I'm at a stand still for equipment right now. I just got tr Riccia and in the process of putting it on some rocks. I'll put some photos up when it's complete!

Well, you could hide the heater in the beck right with the UV. And/or you could make a moss covered cage/wall to hide it and the UV.

I'll check back for photos if I think of it, or remind me by replying in your other forum thread.
