Still really liking this aquascape, and it's grown out beautifully. This growth is all with no CO2 or ferts at all, just a good substrate.

Great tank!  what substrate did you use?  What type of lights?

Thanks dude!

I used Aqua-gro Nutrasoil, it's a slightly more affordable version of the Amano Aqua soils, so little 2mm balls of porous clay enriched with nutrients. This is covering the foreground and is the sole reason I've had any luck with my carpet plant. :P This is topped in play sand.

For the bigger plants in the rear I use the aquatic compost, which I use in some of my vids, you get it from the garden center and it has the high iron content clay that Dustin likes already mixed in. It's great for bigger, or less delicate plants, and swords especially as they really love high iron content. These areas are covered with gravel.

As for lights, I'm just using the stock lights you get on the Juwel Rio, but with the Juwel reflectors. The coverage is a bit patchy with some dead spots and hot spots, but not bad for stock lighting at all.
