Okay I have had this running and already cycled it with filter media and gravel from other tank but it contains 5 male guppies 2  African dwarf frogs and 10 ghost shrimp I have some java moss and java fern right now could I add a Anubias plant in this low tech setup and do the Anubias require additional CO2 or will they be fine with out it.

Hi...I'm pretty new to this and maybe I should leave the answer to your question to the experts, but I was just talking to another fish enthusiest yesterday about this exact same plant, cause I am wanting to plant my tank too.

I was told that the Anubias is a good plant to start out with. It's a bit slow growing, but can withstand low light conditions. Nothing was said to me about it needing additional CO2, but of course it will need to be fed occasionally like all the others.

My tank is still in the cycle mode and I was told that I could plant quite a variety in it now...including the  Anubias...without any harm to the plants.

       Let's see what others say.

Does anyone have any fertilizers they recommend to use for Anubias , Java Moss, Java Fern.
