wow! how did you get glosso and dhg to grow woth no co2?? did you start this emersed?  looks great
pretty good with just CFL lighting

@frroK Just give it time, man. It started out really crappy, like this

but before I knew it, it carpeted into nice fluffy ground cover.

@Hmoobthor thanks! I thought that if I had a high tech tank things would get big WAY too fast, so low tech was the way to go for me!

Awesome end product, so how long did it take from start to finish to get your nice jungle?

I have dirt also with peace river gravel on top of that.  I just tore everything out and rescaped it, and have one 6500K 48 inch florescent bulb from home depot and a 48 inch flora-glo...kind of thinking the flora-glo isn't helping much, with such only a 3,500 K but wonder why it said it would help with plant growth, long term plant growth?  The plants were not growing very fast with two flora-glo bulbs.

Anyways, sweet tank, looking for a similar look without having to use ferts or CO2.

I have dwarf hair grass in it for about 2 weeks now, still looks weak.

Very nice work.  about 20 pygmy coryadoras would look cool in here
@JTang , Yes I was thinking about a school of some kind but I do like the simplistic nature of Shrimps better, and with the cories they would all be eaten!
Where did you get the sponge from the one on the aquaclear

I made it myself from a large sponge I purchased from Wal-Mart.

All I did was cut out a piece and cut an X in the middle and stuck it on my intake :D

Cool thanks
so tempted to do something like this, love the look of your tank

Your tank is sweet, I just started a 20L and hope to have it looking similar to this
