I would like to know how to plant the runners from a Amazon Sword plant. When and how you cut the plants off the runners especially when you have several size plants on the runner. Also how to plant the cuttings in the substrate.

Thanks, I will try cutting it off with a sharp knife.

Don't cut them off the shoot,or you will damage the shoot!Pull them off with your fingers, secondly DO NOT CUT THE ROOTS DOWN,that is WRONG....Also Amazon Sword can not be propagated threw cuttings...It is possible to split the crown of the plant into pieces but if you plant a leaf it will not grow into another plant...Again if you cut the plantlets off you will damage the shoot...

"Cutting the roots will stimulate growth",that is NOT true,it will prolong growth,I know this from experience,as most on this website knows who to go to for Amazon Sword help....It will take twice as long for the plant to grow if you cut the roots down as to if you just plant it,and yes I mean in DIRT...

Mr.Amazon is how everyone knows me...you don't have to be a douche!

Sidebar.  I love that vid.  Tropica rocks.  What a job.

They are Danish so I guess they figure just put the subtitles and don't bother with speaking.  A little music would be nice.  Some Beethoven or Handel for intense planting like that.
