I would add a small school of tetras ,or if you didnt want tetras you could add some cory cats.

thank you, i never thought of tetras

neon tetras or cardinal tetras are great with them.

ok thank you very much

Angelfish might outgrow a 30gal and they could eat the neon tetras. Maybe less 2-3 Angelfish with a bigger tetra, I think the Cardinal Tetra a little bigger.

I had cardinal tetras in with my 3 angel fish in my 35 gallon tank. They were a little bit over an inch long. When I woke up the next morning (about 12 hours after putting the fish in the tank) all that was left was one small chunk of red and blue laying on the bottom. That was the the best $30 meal those angel fish ever got. I now have rummy nose tetra in with them and have had no problem. Make sure the fish you get are big enough, or your angel fish are small enough that you won't have the same problems I had.

how big o rummy get?

They can get a little over two inches long.

yeah imma have to get something different i love angelfish, but not enought to have them killed on the first day.

Most of the medium to large sized tetra species, like Emperor Tetras, Glowlight tetras, Pristella tetras, Rummynose tetras, even the larger strains of Cardinal and Black Neon tetras would go well with Angelfish, since they come from the same/similar habitats.  Corydoras Catfish species also are a great addition to an Angelfish tank.  Basically, you would try to steer clear of anything an adult Angelfish could fit in it's mouth and eat, like Neon tetras, which are a prey species for Angels in the wild.  Other species which would go well would be Rasboras, Rainbows, and other medium sized community fish.

Try to stay away from more aggressive species like Barbs, Tiger Barbs in particular, as they will nip the fins of angelfish and stress them out.

Hope this helps!  Looking forward to seeing pics of your tank here on FFTV!
