alright so i got this 60 gallon freshwater tank, with some plants, more are coming this week and right now i got 6 bloodfin tetras, 5 rasboras, 4 orange von rio tetras, 3 scissortail rasboras, and 3 cory cats. i am thinking about adding an angelfish or something like a bigger fish to like define the tank lol idk. but anyways i wanna know if i put an angelfish in there with the tetras and stuff if it will hurt or kill the tetras because i dont want that. thanks.

Angelfish can be aggressive as they are cichlids. I have had kept angelfish with tetras b4..but i am not familiar with the types you have. So as long as the tetras grow to a pretty decent size they should do fine. Pretty much as long as they fish gets bigger then the angelfishes mouth they should be ok.....Once you add your angel in to the tank just watch how the angel acts around the tetras as angel fish do have different tempers (some can be chill and then some can be hell).
If the angle fish is cool and dosent eat or harass the others your tetras still might not act naturally. they may be intimidated and hide or school tightly and not move around much because they dont want to attract attention to themselves. If you want a show fish I would go with a small species of Pleco.
I wouldnt advise anyone to get a single angel. I've always heard and practiced keeping them in groups of at least 4. the group behavior is way different and the rebel "badass" angels that may have been aggressive will chill out a bit. as far as a "show fish" i would say angels would do fine if you have 3 or 4. Though i have a large pleco i find them hard to tell people they are a good choice as an aquarium fish.
most people end up with a common pleco honestly and they grow huge, poop everywhere and have different feeding requirements. thats just something a good many people arent prepared for. I know rubber nose and such dont get as big but...meh... call it a personal preference, ill take a smaller 10x as "cool" synodontis cat any day
I currently have a single angel in my 46 gallon bowfront and Ive never had any problems but like previously mentioned in the thread all angels have different temperments and you just need to be careful... if your looking for a bigger fish that you wont have any problems at all with aggression id suggest some rainbowfish from boesmanis to australians to red rainbows they all are quite stunning if fed right and have proper space to swim...your 60 gallon would be ideal for such fish i assume 48 inches long
as long as there is more tetras them angel they will be fine but alway add tetra first b4 you add angle they seen to think that they r food when you add tetra after you add angel so alway tetra them angel
get 2 angel (pinoy angel if you can they the best and pleco is L155 mama pleco ) that would be best
as long as you put the angels in when they are babys it will be allright
I had some angelfish in a community tank many years ago. I added a number of Nannostomus (Don't know the American name...). The tank was well planted, about 200 L (50G?) so these fairly small fish could keep their distance. Everything went well until I turned the aquarium lights out. The small new fish all came to the front of the tank, attracted I suppose by the room lights. Schmack, schmack, shmack... It was over in seconds...
