I just got an Anubias nana, and my question is: does it need to be tied to a rock or just planted in the gravel?

either way but make sure that the rhizome is not planted below the gravel.

Okay thank you :)

I just recently planted some of this myself. I just shoved it into the nooks in my bog log with the roots touching the surface of my substrate. It's now been 5 days since I planted them and the roots have already started to dig down. Hope your Anubias nana takes off like mine has.

Thanks for the info!! I hope it takes off and grows like crazy :)

all Anubias species are slow  growers.... so patience is a MUST when you want them to grow crazy......
