I received some Anubis nana by mail the other day and all the leaves where a beautiful green when I received them. I put them in two different tanks and within two days almost all of the plants leaves are fully brown. Is this normal for them or are they pretty well dead? I don't have any experience with the nana and I have never ordered real plants other then moss threw mail order.

they look greener in these pics then they really are but for the most part out of the 5 I have the center vein of all the leaves are still really really green and the rhyzome is a yellowish green. I have three of them in this tank and two others that have disappeared in my larger tank so I don't know how those are doing. I just don't know if I should be looking at these like java fern where as long as the rhyzome is good it will live or like swords where the center vein has to be green.

cut some of the dead leaves if u see them (looks transparent/clear)..

What I usually do for anubias when attaching them to driftwood is cut the roots short (not the rhyzome) and leave like 2-3 leaves...tied them down to wood

Then they grow back like crazy....very green...

Could it be that I have too much light for them? I'm only running two 13w 6500k cfls screw in style bulbs. I don't remember the par but I do remember it was in the medium high range.
ur lighting is at low lighting which Anubias do well in..
Well it's all dead but a very small portion of some rihzomes so I think it was the heat outside in the mailbox that did them in. Watching dustins vids I don't think Anubis has much of a problem with high light even. He has a ton thriving in his 125.
