are they alright for a 40 gallon long, dirted and planted with easy to grow plants?

anybody know about these lights?

are we talking about the aqueon t5 from the store?

 

This is just a regular T5 lighitng...not high outout..

 

They should work fine but if you really want to grow better plants...look for T5 HO.

It sucks cause I went and bought these without doing any research on them, thinking it was a good deal
you can always return it for a T5 HO fixture..
any suggetions on were to get t5 ho fixture? they got nothing else at petsmart.

I really like the T5 aqueon light.  Two bulbs and it gives great light.  You can NOT beat the price and it is much cheaper on power.

 

If your plants need more add another strip.  They are thin and only require that you have a glass top.

 

For the money I think they are a great deal personally.
