Baby taers and driftwood

Jus curious if it is possible to tie baby tears to driftwood or will that jus be a bad idea?  I asked because some of my dwarf baby Tears that got up rooted floated towards my driftwood got stuck on its on and is actually growing. I want to know if I should expect that to die or should I jus go ahead and try and tie a big clump of baby tears  on to the wood

And what plants are good to tie to driftwood  cus I got a huge piece of it I want to cover almost entirely in plants
