bala shark or american cihlids

i am getting a 78 gallon tank and i will dir it and make it a semi agressive tank with tiger barbs the question is do american cihlid make better semi agressive tank mates or bala sharks if the sharks what other semi agressive sharks/ catfish can go in the tank but if cichlids what american cihlids can go in thanks and peace out

bala shark will work with SA cichlid. as they both are aggressive.

 

If you don't want a shark...i'll with go a pectrol catfish of the smaller size to go with the SA cichlid.

 

As for wat species to get SA cichlid, you can choose.
