I need some thoughts on your favorite tall background plants. I currently have a bunch of water wisteria and don't really like it. It grows great but then starts to die and float to the top with little baby leaves. Its making a huge mess in my tank. Would love a cleaner tall bushy plant, but don't want to waste my money. Need some suggestions for a cool tall bushy background plant.

Green cabomba, low maintenance and grows fast. Or if u have Co2 and good lighting red cabomba would look nice
I don't think there is such a thing as one good plant. It depends on the person. Like for me if I had to call it right now it's my golden nesaea once it gets going. Im going to have to order more of that as it mostly melted and what I have left I'm trying to get going as best as possible but with it's hot pink stem and gold leaves it just pooped against my greener plants like anarchis swords and something that starts with a co something I can't remember the spelling but it's like a hornwort but doesn't grow branches and the new growth is usually red. Anyways the nesaea being as eye catching as it is wouldn't pop alone without the help of the other plants around it. So for me it's a well balanced mix of plants. Once tank in some ludwigia water wisteria and anarchis one is just anarchis another is Italian Val with ludwigia and hornwort and another is anarchis jungle Val hornwort amazon swords water wisteria and ludwigia and once the nesaea grows back or I order a ton more it will b mixed in most my tanks.

If you want something that grows like crazy, the Rotala Indica in my tank has been outgrowing everything.  In 5 weeks it has grown at least 18 inches.  Trimmmings I took a few weeks ago have already grown to the top of my 29G.  You can see what it looks like in any of my planted tank videos.

Personally, I think a few different species of stem plants in back looks cool, but that Rotala has been growing like a champ if you want something that will fill in quick.

Thanks for the help, much appreciated!
