hi all.. question any ideas what kind/type/species of pleco which grows 10-12cm & eat algae.....in planted tanks?.. (plz exclude oto's/sae & shrimps) coz the are known algae eaters)

Ancistrus is probably the most commonly used pleco for a planted aquarium. Algae eater that doesn't grow as large as it's cousins.
let be a bit more specifics
what body is refering to is bristlenose pleco.
oh ok..from ur exp the bristle nose that is,how do u find them in ur aquarium, doing algae eating?
first.... a pleco that's a efficient algae eater.or should i say better than the common pleco
2ndly...it doesn't grow larger than 12cm.....which is suitable in a planted tanks.
3rdly.... body doesn't not matter,as long its not more than 12cm, .

These fish are often kept by aquarists as they are dutiful algae-eaters and smaller in adult size than the common plecos usually seen in petshops. Size is up to 15 cm (male), 12 cm (female), recommended temperature 23-27 degrees Celsius, lifespan up to 12 years.
