Hey all this is my first post. I picked up a 50-55 gallon flat back hex tank. I have done a lot of work to it. I am now ready for aquaplaning planting and fish. I want to do something like a natural habitat for some angelfish I have which means black water. I would like advise on the kinds of plants that would be good in this type of tank

You're gonna wanna go with some low light plants; Amazon swords, jungle val or if you don't mind putting in non-amazon plants; java fern, anubias, java moss.  You could also do some floating plants like salvinia or amazon frogbit.  Thats just naming a few.
