I have had some anubias tide to driftwood for about a month now.  I have recently noticed that one of the leaves has a big brown spot on it. its not that dark but easily seen. There is also some brown on the stems of another anubias. is my plant dying? What is it?

What do you use for ferts if anything?  Not easy to put these thigs down to one reason but a deficiency of somekind will normally be the reason. Need more info but if you are not already doing so using iron or potassium liquid ferts may help. Ensure your plant rhizome is not buried in the substrate as it may rot causing problems. Sorry if saying obvious things here but if it is only on a leave just cut it back and give it time. May be nothing to worry about. I have an anubias with 3 flowers right now but being hit with  black beard algae. We all go through problem times but hang in there. These dont need bright light so may be better to a side or have partial top cover from light. They are generally easy plants and ferts may not be essential but if you are doing well with other plants in your tank then it should be ok with a check over and re position. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice! I actually just took the plant out and looked at the spots up close. Turns out, just some algae!! Setting up a 40 gal soon and planting it a ton but i will defiantly be getting some liquid fert !
