Canister filter or HOB

So I have two tetra Ex 70's on my 55 and I love and they work great. But I was thinking of getting a canister filter in place of the HOB's. I wanna try it for less surface disturbance and just make the tank seem a little classier I guess. Anyone have any thoughts or comments please let me know. Thnx

Since you have a 55 gallon, It is really recommended to go towards Canister filters.

Just when having a smaller tank, its make good sense having a hang back filter due to the price range. But there are canister filters these days that are towards smaller tanks.
