My daughter gave me a chia pet she gave up on. I googled and found they are safe for use in an aquarium, so I filled the hole with dirt and planted an amazon sword in it. It has been doing great in my guppy/shrimp tank for a month now. I am trying to find a plant I could attach to the surface and it would grow as well. I was thinking java moss but I don't want anything that will over take the small 14g. hex tank too fast. Then I was thinking baby tears? Any other ideas? Has anyone else tried this?

I got some Crystal wort. It comes in a mat. I was going to use a hair net to attach it with would have been perfect but my daughter through all her's out and I was impatient so I used some fishing line to tie it on. Worked good and looks great. I'll post pictures soon.
