No easy answer. Many things taken into consideration but you need a drop checker filled with bromo blue in the tank with co2 going. Wait 2-4 hours and bromo blue will need to change to a green colour. Step 1. That ensures correct level co2 present. Slow adjustments of bubbles only after the first few hours will decide the Bps, bubbles! You need. When the drop checker is green and stays there you have the correct level of co2. The actual amout of bubbles is not important. Good diffusion will require less bps to achieve the green you need. Next is fertilisation. I use seachem flourish but there are many out there. Next water changes weekly upto 50%. And light. It is so dependant on many things but these are the starting point. Hope this helps.

I agree with Alex, results vary from tank to tank with method of diffusion and filtration.  The drop checker is very useful and is most accurate with a 4 dkh solution.  Most people I know start around 2 bps and then go up or down depending what color the drop checker is.
