So i want cory cats and I also want a carpet of either Dwarf Baby Tears or Glossostigma in my tank. But Im concerned that the cory cats will up root the carpet. Im probably gonna add the cory cats last. So the plants have a chance to get rooted, but will they still be able to uproot the carpet?

cory cat don't uproots plants

like i told others dwarf tear r not 4 beginner unless u have t5, co2, and good substrate

I have 2 of the 3 in your formula and it's barely working.  The plant looks very different without CO2.  Good advise.
Oh i have a Dual Light T5HO Fixture on my 29 gallon with DIY Co2 and its a dirted tank. After a while I might start dosing Ferts as well. Not sure about the ferts yet.
Oh and the cap for the dirted tank is Eco complete too.

with DIY co2..your looking at unstable co2 level and will cause all of sort of problem for your first time.

A dirtted like dustin say it really a cheap way of using cheap substrate to grow plants and is still consider cheap.

While using your method with the items you have provided, it might work out well...it might go down hill.

I am not saying to give up on it but I always say to others.. go for it if you wanna try.

Well if Dwarf Baby Tears are really that hard to keep.

What are some good carpet plants? Dwarf Hair Grass? Glossostigma?

I also considers M. Minuta. But its hard to find around here

i an't saying it "really hard" to keep but its very demanding. I seen people's video with low tech tank to T5 with co2 just barely make it. Plus alot of fish just love to eat dwarf tear either way.

Even I  threw them out.

Any of the plant you mention are good plants!

Here: This will help you out alot!

i just got some HC about a week ago, i put in in my dirt tank with a sand cap, DYI c02.. consistent enough.. put it in into 3 tanks, my reg fish tank and my planted dirt tank (I use ferts on), and my fluval spec dirted tank lol... the fish ate everything in the reg tank (damn guppies), but the HC in my dirted tank is doing fine, I and I think is well rooted now, and starting to spread out so it is possible but, based on what happened in my reg tank, I think Cory cats might do the same, if not eat it, stir it up..once its all loose, not in carpet form its hard go gather up
