Dirt or fluorite?!

I've got a 33 gallon that has fluorite gravel and the plants seem okay but I would like to convert to dirt because I don't like adding extra nutrients it's to costly and how much mess does dirt make in planting and uprooting and is it worth it ?

I considered cat litter but I don't like the red coulor , I whant flourite or dirt coz flourite can be black and so can the dirt cap

I used to think the back substrates were most excellent, then I realized eventually, I wouldn't see any of it through the plants.

My plants would never grow that thick not I'm my lighting any ways
