DIY substrates
ok got a already set up tank and im wanting more nutrients to grow less hardy plants, everyone's saying osmocote but im just want to take a sec and see how many other options there are, i have blood and bone meal (7-7-0) and some terra link stuff that looks like gravel (24-24-8)

I used organic dirt, fluorite and then caped it with black sand. It has worked very well for me. If you go watch the Amano ADA videos it's like he is putting he loved ones ashes in the bottom of his tank. Hmmm...
Maybe I should put that in my will for where to put me ? :-)
