So I have this Madagascar lace plant that would shoot up 1 or 2 leaves a week and now it lost  4 leaves. Is it just slowing down to take a break or go into dormancy? I give it this aqueon aquatium plant food once a week and it's kept under the aqueon 50/50 compact fluoresent light. And I see some smaller plants forming  around the two bulbs.  So do u know what's happening?

I know some Aponegeton species have a dormancy period. My A. Ulvaceous is in one now - usually happens after blooming. Not sure about A. Madagasgar though.

So far there's only one leaf left on one of the two bulbs. The other bulb still has a fair amount of leaves.  I was reading this article that their dormant period is in summer  and they start growing back in the fall.  http://www.tfhmagazine.com/details/articles/the-secrets-of-the-mada... here's the website. Please leave anything that could be hellpful
