Hello all! I was curious as to see what everyone's advice was for dosing in your tanks. What products do you use? Are there certain tank sizes that isn't recomended to dose? How long should your tank be started before you start dosing? How to tell when you should start dosing? Any input would be greatly appreciated. I have a 10 Gallon planted with flourite red as the substrate and my plants to seem to be having issues taking hold after i replanted them over a month ago. Leaves are falling off and turning brown. My Italian Val seems to have been the weakest while my fern, crypt, and hygro seem to be growing but still don't look great.

1.Well i use seachem flourish (comprehensive plant supplement) as my frets atm.

2. u can dose at any tank size

3. u can start dosing as soon as u set up ur tank

4. if u wait till u want a sign of wen to really start, its wen u see ur plants yellowing or dying off.

input: even tho the easiest thing for u to do is get seachem flourish products and dose those they get expensive after a while. if u research ei dosing which is mixing ur own ferts from dry ferts. seachem buys dry ferts and premixes them to sell them at lfs. so its actually cheaper if u ei dose. sorry bout ur plants but they wil bounce back.

So how do you even begin to start mixing your own ferts. Where do you get them and what kind do you get?

http://www.aquariumfertilizer.com/. U buy them here rea the FAQ on the page it tells u how to dose tem and mix tem. Seem complicated but its not just have to read up on it a bit. Ill do a longe write up on ei later wen i has time
