I would like to know how to breed them

and also a little general care i just got some 2 weeks ago

a ratio of 2 male to 3 female works very well if you wanna breed them.

 

Female are less colorful and male are much more colorful with red finage.

 

they breed when the morning light hits the tank..lol or early morning

 

they love to be in full planted tank and with some floating plants (which I am trying to order some).....i notice that when they are expose to light all day on top of the water...the color on them seems to become dull and grayies/black.

 

This in turn don't show their color much and they need shade to give them a rest from the light.

how old do they have to be to breed

or how big

i have a couple good size. when i bought them , they were pretty small.

 

they grew pretty fast. mine are not even full size adult yet.

 

I am sure they will breed when adult size. Mine hasn't even develop their full finnage and color yet...so i have to give it time to grow.
