I understand the concept of it. The only thing I'm not sure about is, if the ferts come dry, do you turn it into a liquid or do you just dump the dry ferts into the tank? Im confused about that. Also if its says dose 1/16 of a spoon, how do you even find a spoon that small?

I suggest flourish excel. Easy to use liquid fert. The measurements are on the cap.
Isn't Flourish Excel just liquid Co2? Dry ferts are much more cheaper and last longer.
yes and alot of plants have reactions to excel. with the dry ferts u usually mix it with a certain amount of water store in a container then dose when you need to. im not sure but if you google search i think a spoon is uaually about a tablesoon and 1/16 is like 2-3 drops. so you could use an eye dropper. so does the fert not have directions on it
I haven't bought the ferts yet, but Im going to buy from greenleafaquariums.com and on their dosing recommendations. Its says Dose 1/4 tsp KNO3, 1/16 KH2PO4, and K2SO4 1/16 . And 1/16 CSM+B. So, Im not sure if Im supposed to dose dry or dose a liquid. Im not really sure how to dose it in liquid form. I know that dosing dry, you just measure with the spoons. [No clue where to get them] and then mix it with aquarium water.
yeah i checked out that website and i think you got your info from there etimative dosing article. im 99% positive you mix with x amount of aquarium water, keep in tupper ware container, then dose as needed. but i couldnt find it in writing. and the dosing mesurements works for liguid to. but i can't seem to find out how much water to mix with how much "fert". if you absolutly want to use there ferts i would call them and ask these questions to them, if not i use aquariumfertalizer.com micro+macro fert, they tell you how to mix and dose. w/shipping its like $20 and will last you at least a year or more. if you got more questions let me know hope this helps
o i forgot to mention don't just add the dry powder to your tank because if its like any other dry fert it will be to much and the wrong concentration,, thus leading to big problems. it usually needs to be mixed with aquarium water outside the tank to delute it.
I'll look into aquariumfertilzer.com. Do you use those pump bottles to dose your tank or what?
well im not actually doseing them right now, but i just mix the ferts with the said amount of aquarium water, store in the fridge in a tupper ware container, then use an eye dropper. some fish stores sell um. they might be behind the counter but there usually only like a dollar.
Are the eye droppers exact measurements? Or at least have measurement markers on them?
they don't have marks on them but a drop is an exact mesurment. 100 drops is 5mL. with these dry ferts you only use like 1-4 drops a day
Ah, that makes sense. Thanks a lot for the help!
no prob man if ever got a question ill be happy to do what i can
