Freashwater shrimp

I have 1 bamboo shrimp so far but because of my Algea bloom I was doing water changes almost everyday! So I thought it wouldnt be fair to get anymore shrimp so I got accu clear and it's working so I am thing to get some shrimp in about a month when the water becomes good again, I have my eye on cherrys,crystals and amanos, I know amanos are Algea eater but I don't have any Algea so what can I feed these types of shrimp appart from Algea walfers

Cucumber or squash jus boil it till its soft so it sinks or jus tie a raw piece to a rock or suction cup and put it at the bottom
