freshwater to brackish help

I have a 60gal freshwater for my puffers. want to go brackish but just not sure how to tackle it. I plan to mix the salt in a 5 gallon bucket. Just wondering what the salinity should be of the 5gal. my goal is to get around 1.005. just not sure on how to mix it so that its even. i want about a .002 increase every 2 weeks or so.

personally i would go at a .001 increase every 2 weeks to just be easier on the fish, you could do it at a .002 but i wouldn't good luck.

this is going to take a while then. figure 26 2weeks in a year and moving 1000 points. would take 38 years?

What other fish do you have with the puffers?
Any mollies? Also, do you plan on having plants?

If possible I would give anyfish or invertebrates away then make it a brackish tank with fish that were brought up in brackish condisions it would be alot easer
