Killing green water naturally is contained in my first reply to your post. Its done by using floating plants. Dustin also has a video on the subject.
At this point a uv sterilizer is really just a waste of money. In short, green water (as with every other algae) is a result of an imbalance. Every algae is almost like an equation which in your case would be (from memory)
Nitrate + ammonia + excess light = green water
If you remove the most damaging which in my personal opinion is the ammonia and nitrate (nitrate being the founding nutrients of many algae types) then the green water won't have the right conditions to survive. In short if you balance out your tank you wont need to spend extra $
yo, i was going crazy with green water. I just picked up a 9w in-tank sterilzer from petco for 50 bills, turned it on and within 3 days my tank was CRYSTAL clear...i've never seen my tank so clear before...its was unreal. totally worth it
Yo I no I just picked up the same one I think from petco today hope it works.
