Growing young Brazilian swords?
I had gotten a few bunches of beautiful Brazilian swords but they got too much light from a nearby window (closed now) and got completly covered in green algae. I cut off all the infested leaves/stems, then converted the tank into a dirt one with top soil and put the young plants in. I have a florecent light for about 9 hours a day. It's not a very fully planted tank.
How can I promote these little babies to grow well? I quite like them :)

well it sounds like a lot of stress on the plants so it will probably take a while for them to recoup. but unfortunantly im pretty sure that brazilian swords are not true aquatics. they are probably the most able to live submerged but arn't ment to be. iv read that they slowly die and poision the water. but if you want them to grow dirts the way to go. trim the dead and dying leaves but don't cut all or most the leaves off even if their dying. other than that you should be fine.
