Hey guys I have NO idea what to stock this tank with. It's a 29g tall I've been growing since May. It used to house 6 2.5" feeder goldfish from my fathers pond. You cant have anything nice with goldfish as they uproot plants daily. I managed to give the goldfish back and am open to any type of fish. What do you guys think I should stock in here? Also let me know what you think of the tank, I'm sure its not the prettiest, but it keeps me busy.

I guess it depends on what you like.  You could do a pretty good sized school of tetras or rasboras, and maybe some cory cats and a pair of rams?  That is pretty much standard faire for a planted tank.  A pair of angel fish might look good in there too.  Definately dont get anything that is going to outgrow the tank, and do your research on species before you purchase them.  I would look around at your lfs and see what they have, and go from there.
Thanks for the quick reply! At the moment, I'm thinking 8-10 rummy nose tetras, but I have no idea what else.
First of all, i think your tank looks great! Maybe a little cleanup work but what tank doesn't need that. If you wanted to do a large school of small fish, I would do rasbora maculata. You could probably get about 14 if that was your main focus of the tank. If you wanted to do big fish, rainbows or rams would look nice.
I had never seen or heard of dwarf rasboras before, Ill have to look out for them at my lfs. Sorry about slightly messy tank, I've been getting diatoms like mad lately.

The best place to help decided what fish you want is to go to your local fish pet store and look at the fishes.

If not, take some notes on the ones that catch your eye and go home and research while looking at your tank.

Want to think fish for bottom dwellers, mid-top dwellers, clean up crew, etc. You already have a nice tank which is half of the battle. Since you have a tall tank, you can easily handle fishes with tall body and flat like angels.

How many full sized angels can you fit in a 29g? I've read 2 is a bad number to keep them in, especially if they don't pair up. Ill have to make a trip to the lfs with fish in mind, its been plants for the last couple months.
