I don't want to do dirt to too much to do... And it for my school..

I need a someone to tell me if 1 of the light will work just fine...

Both will work. They wil both produce tons of lights and grow plants. With the zoo med you have to make sure to buy the right bulbs. Full spectrum 6500k and a red plant grow. With the aquaticlife they send the bulbs with it. Since its for your school the zoomed can be the cheapest if you find it on sale still threw petco for $70-80. So it depends on what fits u better. Zoo med has a smaller budget and single reflector. Aquatic life is independent reflector comes with bulbs so there is no question as to what bulbs to use but it's pricier. But both will grow the plants and give great color to the fish and plants.
ok thanks

I had the ZooMed for 6 months or so... growth on my swords, vals, javas and anub's was so so.  I recently sold it when I found a killer deal on craigslist for a Coralife Quad lamp T5HO.  The main thing about the Zoo med is poor air circ (gets hot) and a poor reflector.  But for the $$$ it is a decent light...

ok cool
Either light would be ok, if I had to choose between those 2, I would pick the aquatic. It sounds like your mind is made up about the the DIY co2, but I would dirt it, and get 1 of those lights and drop the co2. Hope this helps and good luck!
ok thanks I can't do dirt sorry
