I have a seriously bad case of Blue-Green algae in my 10g. First off, is Hydrogen peroxide safe to use in the aquarium...will it harm plants, fish, bio, etc. Second, what is the ratio of hydrogen peroxide for every gallon? And lastly, does it really kill off the blue-green algae? Thanks.

Hi, I was just wondering if you found out whether or not hydrogen peroxide works on blue-green algae?

Peroxide will not work well for an established blue green algae problem. I have had this problem and the only thing that work well is erythromycin. You can get this through foster and smith. It goes by the name maracyn. It works very well. Just follow the instructions for dose.
