is all pool filter sand the same ?
Im planning on using pool filter sand as a cap i got some but it doesnt look that much bigger of a grain? so what type of pool filter sand do i use? what brand types what make up of sand ? or is the sand i got alright its silica i believe from lesslies pool supply in northern california its called like type 20 or +20 POOL FILTER SAND is that alright or is their something better please help

If you want it course go to Lowe's and buy quickcrete pool filter sand it's pretty course but what you have will work for a cap I use the quickcrete brand for turtles because it's heavy enough that it won't cloud the water when it's kicked around
