When I was doing a water change on my 29 gallon acrylic community, I noticed some crazing near the hole for the heater. It was pretty small, and dosnt seem to be spreading. Should I be concerned about it?

i would a heater is an item that can destroy your tank in seconds i would return it to the store and get a new one
The heater isnt on very often (house almost always is warm enough) and this only appeared a few days ago (had the tank with that same heater for months now). The crazing is about half an inch away from the heater, still not spreading. The parts of the heater that actually warm up never come in contact with the tank, the only part of the heater that touches the tank is the plastic clamp that holds it on. Should I just sand it out like its an ordinary scratch?
