so ive been looking for the amaco mexican red clay, and all i can find is terra cotta, not red. i have looked everywhere.  is this terra cotta clay good ok to use? thanks

im not sure...ususally craft store will carry them ..like Michael
I'm pretty sure the iron is what makes it red so if it's not red it may not have any iron in it 
I belive all crafts clay should work. Te color is mostly a dye by means of adding color rocks or shells that have been crushed to a powder. Soif you go to a crafts store try to find a more natural color clay that won't have other additives but other then that u should be fine with blues and stuff.
Iron oxide is the dye most all companies use
