If its a 24watt (100w equivalent) cfl with 2 side by side should give u high light t8 should get u to med light
So a t8 flourescent 15 watt 6500k bulb good for 10 gallon planted tank?
For low light to maybe med light plant yes
so a 15 watt cfl 6500k bulb will provide me with medium light? And should i taje my hood of or no because im kinda scared that my fish might jump out?

a 24w cfl bubl 6500k will give u med light.  http://www.1000bulbs.com/product/36858/FC23-S65.html like a bulb like this

also kind of off topic why is it that my ghost shrimp wont eat the flakes i purposly put in front of them i dont want then to die its been 6 days and im getting worried
They are scavengers so they eat watever they find so im pretty sure hes eating some food. It is weird that he doesnt eat te food u put infront of him but hopefully he might get over that
Yea but he goes up to them and he trys to eat it but he give up you think it might be to big for him?
Nope shrimp have tiny claws they use to pull off small pieces of the food to shove in their mouth
how can i tell the difference between ich and fin rot because originally i thought my neon tetras had ich and i have been treating with heat and salt but its been a week and none of the white stuuf on their tail has gone away so now im thinking i should cure for fin rot i heard melafix is good for fin rot should i buy it? thank you very much for helping me.
Ick is like some1 sprinkled salt over ur fish. And fin rot looks like their "fins" are dissolving slowly. From the outside in. U tend to see a white fungus looking outline on their fins.
Yea i have fin rot how should i treat naturally without any harsh chemicals
