I need some advice on what my lighting schedule should be.  I heard Dustin say that he has his on for as little as 6 hours.  I have a 120 Gallon tank, heavily planted. It is only 48in wide, so it is fairly deep.  I don't use dirt and have a little laterite in my substrate, but I use all of the flourish fertilizers weekly.  My fixture is a 4 bulb t5 with 6,700K bulbs.  Lately I have been doing 6hrs of just the front two bulbs, and then 6 hrs of all four.  I am having a fairly bad algae problem.  Its not so much on the glass, nor is it bba (which I was able to eliminate once I got rid of extra C02).  It is covering my beautiful anubias and ludwigia!!  If this were your tank, what would you have as your lighting schedule.

12 hours total is too much light.

Also unconcsistance of co2 level will cause algae breakout.

6-8 hour total should work just fine if you run all 4 . if it persist, try running two bulb only.
