I have this never used canister that is used for pools. I wanna use it for my aquarium but everywhere I research comes up as don't do it. The reasons not to is the pool pump heating up and water flow rate and most say it can only be mechanical filtration. However I believe if I pop on a aquarium external pump used for large tank systems I won't have to worry if it over heating and it would have a weaker flow rate. Another thing I want to see if it works is use bioballs or something similar to be a biological filter instead of being purely mechanical. If anyone has insight on this let me know

that thing is the pool canister are use to handle large amount of low and water...using this in a fish tank would destroy it in matter of minutes..
