Marineland c503 canister filter
I bought one of these about a month ago, seems to be working fine, just wish it was silent, not very loud at all. Where do the bubbles come from when I shake the canister? I would expect it to be full of water and no air. Plus how ofter should I be cleaning it? Any suggestions on how to make it work better than the recommended way? I have it on a 90 gallon tank with a HOB, a home made bio filter and a newly added UV filter that has made the water crystal clear. The only problem I seem to be having is these little algae balls on my plants. What can I do?
