This is going to happen. i can't say when. THere is a higher level platform that can support it.  i need to do more research on it....

Same here. I thought about re-doing my developer contract with apple but I don't have the $100 fee that they want.

I'm working on something now.  Let me know if your interested.  I'm been working with the iPhone SDK since 2008.  I'm working on something for the iPad platform but I can make it Universal which means it will run on both the touch/phone devices as well as the pad.
