I am setting up a 140 g planted tank. I only have one place that it can really go. Problem is the right side of tank will be getting a lot of natural sun. window is ABOVE tank height...but still will be getting a lot of sun.

I was wondering if I could make that side of the tank a MOSS WALL? Anyone ever try to make a moss wall?

If so how hard is it?

Thanks much

It's easy to make, I am just not happy with how it has grown in.  Maybe you'll have better luck.
would i be better off painting the outside of that side of tank...to block direct sun?
that would look bad

Just get some of that plastic aquarium backing.  It comes is black.  Cut it to size.  Put cooking spray on the black side, put it on the glass and squeegee the bubbles out with a credit card.  It will stay on for a long time.

most ppl have try them...i think aquastudent has a moss wall in his 5g.
OR....Hang some curtains over the window lol
