Just wanted to share my first dirted tank with you all... 55 gallon

45lbs of organic top soil with 10lbs of sand and 5lbs of clay, capped with 25ish lbs of CarbiSea Floramax

4 pieces of rainbow rock (12-14lbs)

2 pieces of mopani wood

Aqueon 55/75 HOB just foam pads for filters, and fiberfloss prefilter on intake.

Aqueon Dual T5HO lighting with a 28w 6700k grow bulb and a 28w Colormax bulb

Temp is stable at 74 degrees, ammonia, nitrites 0ppm ph stable 7.5  nitrates very between 5-10ppm

GH is 60ppm KH is 80ppm (per APT test strips  haven't found a good test kit yet)

5 zebra danio, 20 neon tetra, 5 dwarf gourami, 2 CAE's

I have Wisteria, bacopa, anubias nana, amazon swords, staurogyne repen, crypto wendetti, anachris, val corkscrew and forget the other name.. lol

Have ton's of new growth on everything, but no really getting any height on the ones that should be..  but for being only up for 1.5 months (1 month of cycling)   I think I did a pretty good job at my first attempt.

I did fishless cycle 2 weeks just water and substrate, planted then 1 week and was cycled waited 1 more week to verify then in went the fish.
