My first ever dirted Tank!
Just wanted to show you guys my first dirted tank. Its 5 gallon that I'm using as a test run, before tackling the 55gal. I used MGOC, and special kitty cat litter (the pure clay kind with no additives etc.) I mixed them both together in a 5 gallon bucket and layed 1" of the mix. Capped it with 3/4-1" of play sand. Planted wisteria, and also a java fern on driftwood! 1 t8 bulb at 15 watts. Only going to let run for roughly 4-5 hours a day to start. There is a small whisper filer running, which I'm letting cycle before adding some platys that I have in my 55.
Guess Its time to hit the water changes every day for a week or two!
